185 lbs v. 155 lbs.
I still have 45 more lbs to go before I reach my goal, but I think 30 lbs in 6 months is a huge accomplishment. 1200 net calories a day plus 5-6 one-hour sessions at the gym every week plus at least 64 ounces of water a day equals results!

I lost another 2 lbs this week! I don’t know how I did that, but I’m happy. 30 pounds total weight loss so far. I’m less than 10 pounds away from my halfway point, and it feels SO good!

Plateauing right before you’re supposed to get your period is like a freaking double-edged sword. All I want to do is cry and eat chocolate.

Nothing like a sweet sangria watermelon from your local farmer’s market in the summertime. There are less than 100 calories in 2 cups of watermelon, fyi.

Just made my food diary public on MyFitnessPal. Most days, I’m still pretty good about tracking everything. I don’t track if I go out to eat, which is usually on Fridays and Sundays. Feel free to take a peek or send me a friend request if you’re active on the site!

Lil bro texted me to let me know he has strawberries, blueberries, broccoli, celery, kale, and Greek yogurt in his fridge. Proud? So proud.

Dallas creepin’ on some homemade baked sweet potato wedges with Gardein chipotle lime meatless “chicken” fingers. Less than 400 calories (because when final exams are around, you don’t always have time OK). P.S. Everything burnt is better.

Since joining the gym I’ve lost another 1.5 lbs! I’m down to 158 now, 27 pounds down from my starting weight. Although diet plays a huge role in weight loss, exercise is that extra push your body really needs to see a change!

I don’t know about y’all, but once I hit the gym I wasn’t really sure where to keep my heart rate during my cardio workouts. Here are some links to help in case you were wondering the same!

I find it really interesting that my weight loss followed the same pattern this time around as it did in the summer of 2010…right down to the plateaus, holiday weight gain, and everything. Funny how our bodies work that way, eh?
