185 lbs v. 155 lbs.
I still have 45 more lbs to go before I reach my goal, but I think 30 lbs in 6 months is a huge accomplishment. 1200 net calories a day plus 5-6 one-hour sessions at the gym every week plus at least 64 ounces of water a day equals results!

I lost another 2 lbs this week! I don’t know how I did that, but I’m happy. 30 pounds total weight loss so far. I’m less than 10 pounds away from my halfway point, and it feels SO good!

Why am I just now discovering that my university has free group exercise classes, including Zumba and hip hop dance? I haven’t even been inside our new, glorious gym yet. I know what I’m doing in between classes next semester. 6 years later…

I’m back, y’all!! Life has been strange without Tumblr, but I needed a break. It’s nice to see that most of you are still here :) I stepped on the scale last Sunday, right before I left for vacation, and was shocked to see I had gained 2 lbs despite sticking to my diet and exercise routine. Weighed in this morning and was AMAZED to see I had lost 3 lbs, bringing my weight down to 157, holy crap! I spent the second half of my trip in Raleigh for my brother’s graduation and the hotel had a fitness center, so I worked out every day and made healthy choices wherever we went (try eating a salad at Coldstone while everyone else stuffs their faces with ice cream…it’s rough). I am pleased to see that has paid off, since the first half of my trip was filled with biscuits, pizza, and deep fried oreos. It feels good to be home and back in the game! What have y’all been up to?

Dallas creepin’ on some homemade baked sweet potato wedges with Gardein chipotle lime meatless “chicken” fingers. Less than 400 calories (because when final exams are around, you don’t always have time OK). P.S. Everything burnt is better.
